In this dynamic role, you will bring your expertise in pastry arts and food preparation to craft beautiful, delicious baked goods and desserts while supporting overall kitchen operations. Pay is based on experience! This position requires early mornings starting as early as 2a.m.! Duties Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and baked goods with precision and creativity. Decorate cakes and pastries using advanced cake decorating techniques to ensure visually stunning presentations. Assist in food production and food preparation tasks for daily service, catering events, or special occasions. Package baked goods efficiently while maintaining quality standards for retail or wholesale distribution. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations. Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing inventory, and ensuring proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service by providing knowledgeable product information and friendly assistance. Requirements Proven pastry experience with a strong portfolio of cake decorating and dessert creation. Extensive kitchen experience in a food industry setting, including baking and food preparation roles. Skilled in food handling, knife skills, and maintaining cleanliness standards in the kitchen environment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for hygiene and sanitation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Previous experience in catering or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
