Job Description
Overview We are seeking a Friendly, Dedicated, Reliable and Detail-Oriented Bakery Assistant to support our current team in the bakery environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the baking industry, customer service and high-quality baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a background in customer service, bakery or cafe operations, food safety, food service, and culinary techniques. Baking and Decorating experience would be a Plus, but are not required for this position. This is also a great opportunity for an Entry-Level position, as we are happy to train and mentor. This position is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining product quality, and delivering excellent customer experiences. This position is a part time, year-round job, and requires closing shifts as well as at least one shift each weekend. Responsibilities Customer Service is the top priority Support bakery production processes including making frosting and fillings Package baked goods efficiently for retail or catering purposes Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work stations in compliance with food safety regulations Handle ingredients and supplies with proper food handling procedures Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for team members Skills Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety and handling procedures Phone and Social Skills Familiarity with small scale bakery equipment Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or guests during catering or retail activities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting This role provides an excellent opportunity for culinary enthusiasts to develop their skills further while contributing to a dynamic team dedicated to quality and excellence.
