Moli McKay's is a heritage-inspired bakery café known for its visually stunning sweet and savory offerings, warm customer experience, and commitment to artisanal quality. We blend tradition with design-forward thinking to create a space where every bite tells a story.Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate baker that will be responsible for daily kitchen production, including guiding our kitchen team, and collaborating on seasonal menu development. This role is ideal for someone who values craftsmanship, creativity, and leadership.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily production of baked goods, including laminated pastries, artisan breads, breakfast pastries, muffins, scones, cookies, cakes, pies, savory baked items, and lunch menu
- Fulfill daily baking needs according to prep sheets, custom orders, and wholesale accounts
- Maintain consistent quality, portioning, and presentation
- Oversee oven operations, proofing, and proper storage
- Train, mentor, and support kitchen team members
- Communicate with ownership on ordering needs, staffing, and product adjustments
- Manage baking prep schedules, inventory levels, and ingredient rotation
- Collaborate on recipe development, new menu items, and seasonal offerings
- Uphold cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols in all work areas
- Participate in team meetings, quality control, and process improvements
- Participate in training for the Toast Point of Sale (POS) system and operate as necessary

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional baking experience (artisan or production-style baking preferred)
- Food Manager Certification (company paid)
- Food Handler Certification (company paid)
- Strong foundation in laminated doughs, fermentation, and pastry techniques
- Ability to manage time efficiently and lead a small team
- High standards for product quality, kitchen safety, and cleanliness
- Creativity and flexibility for seasonal and customer-inspired menu items
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
