We are seeking an industrious and motivated person to join our team. As a Bakery Team Member, you will assist in opening the cafe by mixing donuts, baking pastry, and prepping recipes. You will work with another baker, a manager, and the rest of our back of house staff to ensure an efficient service by accomplishing assigned prep, baking, and cleaning tasks daily. This is a part-time position (15-20 hrs/week) in a fast-paced environment with room to grow! All team members start at $10/hour plus shared tips, PTO, and other benefits. Responsibilities and Duties Follow existing recipes and systems. Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients. Knead, roll, cut, and prepare dough as need. Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment. Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards. Clean and maintain baking equipment, utensils, and tools. Decorate, glaze, apply icing, and prepare toppings for baked goods. Accomplish daily side work as assigned. Assist other team members with daily prep and cleaning tasks. Qualifications and Skills Able to work early mornings. Able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Physical endurance to stand for entire shift. Self-motivated and self-directed. Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks. Physically able to move during the shift; able to bend and kneel through out shift Able to lift up to 50 pounds or more. Knowledge of sanitation procedures, including city and state health and safety precautions and regulations. Legally able to work in establishments which serve alcohol.
