$15 - $25 (Pay includes tips) About Us Yemex is a specialty bakery and café blending Yemeni and Mexican flavors through handcrafted pastries, laminated goods, and specialty coffee. We focus on quality, consistency, hospitality, and creating an environment that feels welcoming and inspiring for both guests and staff. We are looking for motivated bakers who are passionate about pastry, production, and working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and bake pastries, laminated doughs, breads, and other menu items Follow recipes, prep schedules, fermentation timelines, and baking procedures consistently Understand and execute proper proofing, shaping, lamination, and baking techniques Assist with daily prep and production planning Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout shifts Work efficiently during high-volume production periods Communicate effectively with the BOH and FOH teams ⠀Requirements Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a commercial bakery, café, or kitchen environment Open availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Experience with laminated doughs and pastry production preferred Strong understanding of prep timing, fermentation/proofing, and bake timing Ability to work independently while maintaining consistency and attention to detail Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Legal authorization to work in the United States References are encouraged and appreciated ⠀Preferred Qualities Passion for artisan pastries and quality-focused production Strong sense of urgency and cleanliness Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills Desire to grow with a fast-growing bakery concept
