We are looking for a Bakery Assistant that can assist the sales and kitchen team. The job is an all-around position where the individual help where needed. A passion for creating new dessert inspirations and ideas is always a plus. The goal is to assist in the workflow and keep operations moving. This position is perfect for someone that wants to learn about foodservice and expand their skills. Responsibilities Assist the kitchen with production - from baking to making icings Identify and coordinate with the sales and kitchen to restock inventory. Help the kitchen in cleaning/organizing. Maintain a welcoming dining room and adhere to high customer service standards. Engage and introduce the customers to the bakery's offering. Identify and coordinate with the kitchen to restock inventory. Recommend new ideas and inspirations to keep the bakery interesting. The job is in the baking/food industry, so physical stamina is required. The position has stable hours and a consistent schedule - 5 day/week averaging 35 +/- hours. Cakes by Happy Eatery is a retail store-front bakery. The individual needs to be a great communicator, personable, and quick thinking. The individual must have great physical stamina. The job requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending-lifting-pushing loads of 50+/- pounds, along with squatting and climbing for supplies and inventories.
