The Flora Bakehouse is located on Beacon Hill, and is part of the Cafe Flora family, along with SeaTac-based Floret. Our mission is to put delicious baked goods that highlight seasonal ingredients out into the world while developing highly skilled bakers. What we are looking for:

2+ years of baking experience in a commercial setting (ideally with experience proofing yeasted doughs) A degree from a pastry program is helpful. Experience using a proofer and commercial ovens. Bongard experience is preferred but not required. Great eye for detail. Great work ethic. Upbeat, positive, and friendly demeanor. Reliable transportation. Ability to work well with a team. Ability to lift 50 pound bags of flour regularly. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Flexible schedule to help with coverage. This position will involve baking a variety of laminates, quickbreads, specialty desserts, and bread. Keeping a clean station and contributing to overall cleanliness of the kitchen is also part of every shift. Compensation and Benefits This position pays $21.30 per hour to start depending on experience (plus an additional $5-6+ per hour in tips on average).
