Primary ResponsibilitiesMorning bake off of pastriesBouling breadLaminationMixing and baking cakesMixing, rolling and cutting scones, cookies, etcMaking custards, pastry creams, curds and saucesRequired Skills & Job RequirementsExtensive home or professional baking / pastry experience18+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and cleanlinessReliability and punctualityAbility to work independently while staying connected to the teamProfessional kitchen experience helpful but not required we will train the right personAllergen Safety & Food Handling ExpectationsBecause Grain is a certified gluten-free and allergen-friendly facility, this role requires a high level of care and accountability around food safety.
This includes:
Strict adherence to allergen protocols and cross-contamination preventionCareful labeling, dating, and storage of all prepared itemsMaintaining clean, organized prep stations at all timesFollowing established systems for tools, equipment, and ingredient handlingCommunicating immediately with kitchen leadership if a safety concern arisesAttention to detail is not optional it is core to our mission and to the trust our community places in us.
