$20.00-$22.00 per hour About Us Miriam's Bakeshop is a New York-style Jewish and Italian bakery serving the Seattle area, specializing in artisan breads, challah, babka, rugelach, Italian cookies, and seasonal pastries made from scratch. We're looking for an overnight baker to join our production team and help us turn out everything from scratch, night after night. Position Summary The Overnight Baker works through the night mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking our full lineup of breads, pastries, and cookies. This role is a great fit for someone with a foundation in baking who's hungry to build on it — someone who wants real hands-on experience and is driven to learn technique, timing, and craft from an experienced team. Responsibilities Mix, shape, proof, and bake breads, pastries, cookies, and other bakery items to spec Follow recipes and production procedures closely, and ask questions when unsure Keep the production space clean, organized, and food-safety compliant Monitor your stations and flag ingredient needs to the lead baker Take direction well and look for opportunities to learn new techniques Work efficiently as part of an overnight team to hit production goals Qualifications Minimum 1 year of professional bakery or kitchen experience required Strong desire to keep learning and grow your skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained Able to lift/carry 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working overnight/early-morning hours Schedule Full-time Overnight shifts — start times as early as 1:00 AM Weekend availability required Compensation & Benefits $20-$22/hour, depending on experience Employee discount Opportunity to learn and grow into more advanced baking roles Miriam's Bakeshop is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds who share our commitment to quality, hospitality, and craftsmanship.
