Position Summary:
The Baker prepares quality breads, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods for residents, visitors, and employees. This position plans bakery production according to menus and dietary needs, follows approved recipes and baking techniques, maintains clean and safe work areas, and helps ensure every item served reflects the high standards of St. Camillus. We are looking for someone who: Takes pride in preparing attractive, high-quality baked goods from scratch. Enjoys working as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment. Can follow recipes, adjust production as needed, and maintain strong sanitation standards. Values residents, teamwork, safety, and service excellence. Brings creativity, reliability, and attention to detail to each shift. Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately measure ingredients. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Minimum of two years of baking experience in a large food service operation. Strong knowledge of scratch baking techniques. Ability to adjust, scale, and modify recipes to meet dietary and operational needs. Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
