Life:
As a Cake Decorator, your day is centered around creating decorated cakes and desserts that are as appealing to look at as they are to enjoy. You add the finishing touches that make each product stand out, preparing icings, applying designs, and completing custom orders based on established recipes and decoration standards. From simple finishes to detailed designs, your work is the 'icing on the cake' that ensures products are ready for display and customer orders. You also take pride in a clean, organized work area while ensuring display cases stocked and visually consistent. Throughout the day, you process customer orders, review order details, and complete decorations to match requested specifications. This role operates in a fast‑paced environment where consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail contribute to product quality and overall department success. What you bring to the table:
Communication Skills:
Clear communication when taking orders and gathering details for custom requests or exchanging information with colleagues
Cake Decorating Skills:
Experience with icing, piping, and finishing techniques for cakes and pastries
Product Preparation Knowledge:
Familiarity with preparing icing, whipped toppings, and decorative elements using standard methods Attention to
Detail:
Consistency in design execution, labeling, and presentation aligned with order specifications
Organization & Time Management :
Effective management of multiple orders while maintaining workflow and meeting timelines
Merchandising Awareness:
Understanding of how to maintain visually consistent and well‑stocked display cases
Order Accuracy:
Ability to read and interpret order forms, tags, and production instructions
Adaptability:
Comfort working with changing priorities and varying order volume
Food Safety & Compliance Awareness:
Knowledge of sanitation practices and product handling requirements
Physical Capability:
Comfort with standing for extended periods, continuous hand use, and lifting or moving product up to 45lbs occasionally
Requirements:
