Responsibilities Lead and motivate a team of baristas during your shift, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer interactions Oversee food and beverage preparation, including coffee, tea, and specialty beverages, adhering to quality standards Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS system (Square), processing cash and card payments seamlessly Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across the café area, including food handling, sanitation, and equipment upkeep Assist in training new team members on beverage service, cash handling, food safety procedures, and customer service best practices Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, beverages, and supplies; coordinate with management for stock replenishment Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive experience that encourages repeat visits Experience Previous barista experience with a strong understanding of coffee preparation and beverage service techniques Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail environment Familiarity with POS system (Square) for processing transactions efficiently Solid knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a food industry setting Excellent math skills for retail math calculations, cash handling, and transaction processing Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clientele Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and cleanliness Hourly wage is in addition to tips.
