Role:
We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, and community-driven barista to help lead the café experience at The Garden. You'll be one of the first points of connection for our guests — someone who can make quality drinks, create a welcoming atmosphere, and support the daily flow of the shop with confidence and care. This role is perfect for someone who loves coffee, hospitality, creativity, and being part of a team that is building something meaningful.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, teas, specialty beverages, and other café offerings with consistency and care Create a welcoming, social, and inclusive atmosphere for all guests Learn and follow Rose Garden drink recipes, standards, and service flow Support daily shop operations, including opening, mid-shift, and closing tasks Assist with basic food prep, pastry setup, restocking, and general café organization Maintain a clean, stocked, and guest-ready café, bar, and front-of-house space Help track and report low inventory, prep needs, customer feedback, and operational concerns Support team members during busy shifts, events, and programming Adapt smoothly between slower café hours and higher-volume service periods Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and creative team environment
What We're Looking For:
Experience with espresso, coffee, or café service preferred Strong interpersonal and customer service skills — you enjoy connecting with people A passion for craft beverages, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences Dependable, self-motivated, organized, and team-minded Comfortable with routines, checklists, cleaning standards, and daily reporting Able to communicate clearly with management and team members Excited about being part of a creative, community-centered space Willingness to learn bar basics, food prep, and event support as needed Interest in growing with a values-driven small business
