This position is part-time, with flexibility transition into full-time in December. About Decadent Macaron Decadent Macaron is a locally owned macaron bakery and coffee shop in Gilbert, Arizona. We serve specialty coffee, handcrafted macarons, pastries, and creative rotating drink menus in a welcoming café environment. We are passionate about coffee and French Macarons. We believe the coffee experience is from seed to cup. We are looking for baristas that share our passion for coffee and deliver exceptional hospitality to our customers. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate takes pride in the drinks they make, enjoys interacting with customers, notices what needs to be done without always being asked, and contributes to a positive team environment. Must enjoy drinking coffee. Availability Must have evening and weekend availability. Applicants should also have some flexibility to work during busy seasonal weekends, themed events, and holidays. This is a Part-time position, with flexibility to move to full-time in December. Shifts will be afternoon/ closing shifts. Please do not apply if you do not have the availability. Responsibilities Prepare espresso-based drinks, lattes, matcha, teas, and specialty beverages Provide friendly and efficient customer service Follow drink recipes and quality standards consistently Take customer orders and operate the POS system Package macarons, pastries, and other bakery items Maintain a clean and organized bar and café Restock milks, syrups, cups, ingredients, and other supplies Prepare syrups, cold foams, juice lemons, make fresh lemonade. Complete opening and/or closing duties as scheduled Assist teammates during busy periods, events, and seasonal promotions Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures Qualifications Previous coffee shop experience required. Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable and punctual Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail Willing to learn and accept coaching and feedback Team-oriented with a positive attitude, outgoing personality problem solver Ability to stand for extended periods and perform normal café-related lifting and cleaning tasks We are happy to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, great attitude, and genuine interest in coffee and customer service.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
