As a rapidly growing business with a clear mission to serve the community, this role is essential to the company. We are excited to fill the Store Manager position at Modern Grind. This is a key position that ensures daily operations are being fulfilled in detail with exceptional energy and hospitality. Candidates must have strong observation, communication and critical-thinking skills. Applicants must be highly-proficient communicators and naturally possess top-notch customer service skills. Hospitality and integrity are at the focal point of each one of our baristas at Modern Grind. Please read below for specific responsibilities and qualifications.

Responsibilities :

Modern Grind's Baristas will be responsible for the following; (including, but not limited to): Fulfill day-to-day operations of the store Prepare drinks according to recipes and properly use equipment as instructed by leads Maintain proper cleaning and sanitization techniques to maintain an upscale representation of Modern Grind's operating spaces Properly describe products and educate guests on all food and beverage products Develop a sound knowledge of coffee and health products to better enhance the guest experience Lead with curiosity and innovative ideas in the way of coffee and health drinks Nurture friendly relationships with customers and team to increase loyalty, boost reputation and increase opportunities to serve other businesses through catering, bulk orders or team pick-me-ups Approach every experience with a hospitable nature that seeks out the fulfillment of guest needs before the need is requested Monthly Team Meetings (team builders & shout outs to high performing baristas) Idea generation (ex: new products, marketing approaches, operational improvements, trends, cost control) POS System; inputting orders accurately and efficiently Strong communication skills with teammates and guests Assist with Catering & Events; communicate with guests, prepare orders, charge guests Prepare both food and drinks for the cafe, togo orders, and catering events

Requirements :

Must meet minimum requirements within 90 day probationary period Work experience in a fast food/café/coffee shop Hands on experience with professional coffee machines and equipment, blenders, ovens, etc Strong mathematical skills Availability to work within all hours of operation (including weekends and holidays) Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team High Level Customer Service Skills High School Diploma or GED Preferred Additional certification (e.g. in Business Administration or Hospitality) Highly-Preferred Must obtain Food Safe Manager's Certification within first 60 days of employment Applicants must have a reliable means of transportation, a cell phone, and a winning mindset! Strong understanding of teamwork and hospitality Uplifting and work focused during shifts Open availability Preferred 20+ hours/wk preferred Weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Compensation:

Pay is based on performance and experience. Starting at $12.15 per hour plus applicable tips. This position is open to all applicants and posted on our website.
