Full-Time Barista Lead (BAKO
TEA HOUSE
) Cerritos, CA Job Details Full-time $18.50 - $24.00 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Inventory management Customer service Marketing Food service management Hospitality management Full Job Description About
BAKO TEA HOUSE BAKO TEA HOUSE
is a small, intentional tea space. We see tea as "A Journey Through the Seasons"—from the fresh, awakening greens of spring to the grounding, roasted warmth of winter.
Our philosophy is simple:
we use only the finest organic milk and premium loose-leaf teas to create a cup that accompanies you through life's daily moments, whether they are full of joy or in need of quiet comfort. We aren't just a tea shop; we are a small but beautiful part of our guests' everyday rituals. The Role We are looking for a Full-Time Barista Lead who genuinely loves the craft of tea and the art of hospitality. In our small team, you are more than a manager; you are the heart of the shop. You will support the management by overseeing daily operations, mentoring our part-time baristas, and ensuring that every person who walks in feels the warmth and quality that BAKO stands for.
Key Responsibilities Authentic Service:
We put customer service above all else. You will provide a kind, intuitive presence—recognizing our regulars and understanding that a well-made cup of tea can be a meaningful companion to someone's day.
Operational Care:
Keep the shop running beautifully. You'll monitor our inventory (notifying management of restocking needs for our teas and dairy) and ensure the space is always clean and inviting.
Team Mentorship:
Lead by example. You will guide and support our part-time baristas, ensuring that our high standards for tea preparation and guest experience are met with every order. Bringing the Seasons to
Life:
Help us execute seasonal launches and community events. You'll be the bridge between our marketing ideas and the guest experience, making sure each "Season of Tea" is felt in the shop.
Who You Are Mindful & Observant:
You notice the small details that make a difference—a guest who needs a recommendation, a stock level that is low, or a counter that needs a quick wipe.
Quality-Focused:
You have a "small-batch" mindset. You care about the integrity of the ingredients and the beauty of the final pour.
Reliable & Proactive:
You enjoy taking ownership of a space and feel proud when the shop is operating at its best.
Experienced:
1+ years in a lead role within a specialty tea, coffee, or premium hospitality environment.
Benefits Competitive Pay:
$18.50 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience) + generous tips.
Future Planning:
Retirement savings plan (CalSavers/401k) as per California law.
Health Support:
Health benefit stipends or support available for full-time staff.
Pay:
$18.50 - $24.00 per hour
Work Location:
In person
