Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, processing cash, credit cards, and other payment methods efficiently. Greet customers warmly, take orders promptly, and provide friendly assistance to enhance their overall experience. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food handling surfaces in accordance with food safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks to ensure timely service during busy periods. Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers quickly while maintaining high service standards. Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in a café environment with knowledge of beverage preparation techniques. Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for retail transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours. Previous experience in food service or retail sales is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
