There is constant traffic and a walk up window for the guests to drop by without coming inside. the street we are located on has a lot of regulars and a great community. Outside seating and umbrellas as well as a back patio being part of our staff includes discounts on hair and products and a fun group of people to work with! The starting pay rate can be adjusted after 90 days with exceptional performance and customer service. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and snacks ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS system efficiently for retail sales transactions, cash handling, processing payments accurately, and issuing receipts. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and responding to inquiries with enthusiasm. Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning counters, equipment, tables, and food prep zones in accordance with food safety standards. Handle food preparation tasks including basic food handling and beverage assembly while adhering to health regulations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently without compromising quality or safety. Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining a clean workspace at all times. Qualifications Previous barista experience or café work experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality service. Basic math skills for cash register operations and transaction calculations. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
