This role offers an opportunity to work in a specialty coffee space where we care about the quality from our products, the recipes and the preparation. You will be able to lear about brewing specialty beans, espresso calibration, coffee roasting and more. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using espresso machines and other equipment Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and light snacks in accordance with food safety standards Manage customer transactions efficiently while providing friendly service Maintain cleanliness of the café, including cleaning equipment, counters, and seating areas Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations Tasks may vary but can include cleaning, clearing and washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, organizing stations, and taking out trash. Qualifications Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred Existing Food Handler's Certification Familiarity with POS systems Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members A flexible schedule and are available to work mornings, weekends, and holidays. Passionate about coffee, food, and creating experiences beyond coffee Reliable and consistent—your leader and teammates can always depend on you to be punctual. Ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds. For example, you'll be handling bags of coffee beans, coffee kegs, crates of milk, tub of dishes and trash bins.
