Position Summary besa Health is looking for a Medical Assistant which doubles as a Barista to join our growing team. This unique role combines clinical support with hospitality, helping create an environment where patients feel welcomed, cared for, and comfortable. You will assist providers with patient care while also supporting our in-clinic beverage service, offering coffee, matcha, and other drinks to patients during their visit. This role plays an important part in creating the besa Health patient experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both healthcare and hospitality, and who wants to be part of an innovative startup transforming the way patients experience medical care. Key Responsibilities / Clinical Responsibilities Document patient intake information Prepare exam rooms for patient visits and procedures Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures Perform basic clinical tasks such as: EKGs Rapid tests (COVID, flu, strep) Phlebotomy (if trained) Specimen collection Maintain clean and organized clinical areas Ensure proper sterilization and infection control procedures Hospitality / Barista Responsibilities Prepare coffee, matcha, and other beverages for patients and visitors Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage station Provide friendly and welcoming service to patients Assist in creating a calm, enjoyable clinic environment Help maintain the overall aesthetic and atmosphere of the clinic Patient Experience Greet patients warmly and help them feel comfortable Assist with patient flow and clinic organization Communicate effectively with patients and team members Support the clinic's mission of delivering exceptional patient-centered care Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant preferred (or relevant experience) Experience in coffee preparation or barista work preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Compassionate and patient-focused attitude Strong attention to detail Comfortable using digital systems and technology Interest in healthcare innovation and patient experience Preferred Experience Urgent care, primary care, or outpatient clinic experience Phlebotomy experience Experience working in hospitality or café environments Spanish-speaking is a plus What We Offer Opportunity to be part of a new healthcare startup A unique work environment combining healthcare and hospitality Collaborative and supportive team culture Opportunity to grow with the company A chance to help reshape how patients experience healthcare Most importantly, this is a place where you can wake up excited about the work you do and the difference you make in people's lives.
