Duties Prepare and serve a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and consistency. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for retail sales transactions. Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments efficiently, and manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy. Maintain cleanliness of the café environment by adhering to food safety standards and performing regular cleaning duties. Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about beverages and food items, and provide excellent customer service. Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during beverage preparation and light food service. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of quality. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food safety practices and food handling protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive guest experience. Skills Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role with café experience preferred. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Strong knowledge of beverage service techniques, including coffee experience and drink service. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and managing sales accurately. Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper cleaning protocols. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods. Previous retail sales transaction experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
