Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards Maintain cleanliness of the café area, kitchen stations, and equipment through regular cleaning routines Process cash transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service to foster positive guest experiences Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure the café is well-equipped throughout your shift Follow food safety protocols and handle food items responsibly to maintain hygiene standards Experience Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; café experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in sales processing Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests from diverse backgrounds Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change Knowledge of food handling, beverage preparation, and drink service best practices Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This role is paid and offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hospitality while contributing to a lively community space.
