Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit. Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing cash drawers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and dining spaces, adhering to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed. Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks such as serving drinks, taking orders, and cleaning workstations promptly. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service environments with café experience preferred. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient sales processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele. Basic math skills for cash handling, giving accurate change, and balancing registers. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours. Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
