You will be responsible for crafting handcrafted espresso drinks, serving signature beverages, prepping food items, running POS transactions, and creating a warm, energetic atmosphere for our regulars and corporate guests.

Key Responsibilities Beverage Preparation :

Handcraft espresso drinks, specialty lattes (such as our Paramaribo Spiced Latte), house brews, and teas to quality standards.

Food & Service Prep :

Heat, plate, and serve fresh pastries and authentic Surinamese street eats (like Bojo cake, Pastei, and Loempia).

Customer Service & POS :

Ring up transactions via Square/POS, answer guest questions, handle cash/digital payments, and maintain a friendly, engaging counter presence.

Catering & Totes Prep :

Prepare 96oz coffee totes and catering orders for local office pickups.

Opening & Cleaning SOPs :

Open the bar at 7:00 AM, dial in espresso, maintain a clean workspace, sanitize seating areas, and perform shift-change tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience :

1+ years of barista or food service experience preferred (espresso machine operation & milk steaming).

Availability :

Must be punctual and available Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Skills :

Strong communication, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for specialty coffee and multicultural foods.

Certifications :

Valid California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Physical Requirements :
