$17.00/hour plus tips About us Black Box Bakery is a Colorado bakery serving wholesale, retail, and café customers. We bake fresh around the clock and pair it with great coffee and a welcoming counter. About the role This is a brand-new position, and it will grow as we do. You'll start on the café counter, and as the team and our needs develop, your responsibilities can expand with them. We're looking for someone who likes building something, not just following a script. What you'll do Prepare espresso drinks, drip coffee, tea, and seasonal specials to our recipes and quality standards Greet guests warmly, take orders, and handle POS transactions Know our pastries and breads well enough to recommend pairings Keep the bar, café, and display cases clean, stocked, and organized Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Help with opening and closing tasks, including cash handling Pitch in across both locations as needed Share ideas for improving workflows, menu items, and the guest experience What we're looking for Barista or café experience preferred, but we'll train the right person Friendly, calm, and dependable in a rush Flexible and comfortable with a role that changes over time Willingness to learn and take feedback Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Availability that includes early mornings and weekends Colorado food handler card (or willingness to get one within 30 days) What we offer $17/hour plus tips Paid training Staff discounts and free baked goods Room to grow as the role and the business evolve employee discount, free drinks and food, sick leave To apply: Send your resume and availability to blackboxbakers@gmail.com by or apply on indeed Black Box Bakery is an equal opportunity employer.
