$16.94 - $17.50 per hour Job descriptionAbout the role We're a brand-new bakery-café opening in downtown New Haven, and we're looking for a friendly, reliable Barista to join our team from day one. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in making great coffee, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment. Schedule Part-time Morning and daytime availability required. Saturday availability is a plus. What you'll do Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, and other beverages Take customer orders and process payments Provide friendly and efficient customer service Serve pastries, sandwiches, and other café items Keep the coffee bar and customer areas clean and organized Restock supplies and help with opening and closing tasks Work closely with our small team during daily service What we're looking for Previous barista or coffee shop experience preferred Experience with espresso machines and grinders is a plus Friendly and comfortable interacting with customers Reliable and punctual Able to work efficiently during busy periods Strong attention to cleanliness and presentation Food Handler certification a plus Why join us We're a small team opening a brand-new café, so you'll have the opportunity to join from the beginning and grow with us as the business grows.
