Duties Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, following established recipes and standards Operate POS systems such as Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash register operations, including processing cash transactions and giving correct change with basic math skills Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling light snacks or baked goods when needed Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety standards Requirements Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transaction processing accurately Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting Experience with beverage service, coffee preparation, or barista duties is highly desirable Capable of standing for extended periods while maintaining focus and energy throughout shifts Join us as a Coolbeans Coffee Barista and be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering outstanding coffee experiences!
