Coffee Specialist :

Rate the $13 per hour + TIPS The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of specialty coffee beverages, as well as baked goods and sandwiches. This role requires a deep understanding of coffee, including different brewing methods, coffee bean varieties, and flavor profiles, to deliver an exceptional experience to each customer.

General Accountabilities:

 Greets customers warmly, creating a welcoming environment.  Expertly prepares and serves a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, and specialty drinks, ensuring each is made to the highest standard.  Maintains a thorough knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to provide customers with informed recommendations.  Describes menu items in detail, offering suggestions that match customer preferences, and providing insights into coffee origins, blends, and preparation techniques.  Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils, equipment, and seating areas to meet health and safety standards.  Monitors and ensures proper functionality of all equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, freezers, and refrigerators.  Receives and processes customer payments efficiently and accurately.  Prepares and serves a selection of baked goods, such as muffins, biscotti, and bagels, as well as sandwiches.  Stocks and maintains customer service stations with necessary supplies, including paper products and beverage preparation items. 
