As an opener, you'll set the tone for the day, ensuring everything runs smoothly from morning until the doors open to eager guests. Duties Open the store by unlocking doors, turning on equipment, and preparing the workspace for service Prepare non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and care Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS Maintain cleanliness of work areas, dining spaces, and equipment to meet food safety standards Handle cash register operations including processing cash transactions and giving correct change Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks to ensure quality standards are met Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing inquiries promptly Manage time effectively to ensure all opening duties are completed before customer rushes begin Experience Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong skills in cash handling, math, and basic math calculations are essential for accurate transactions Experience with beverage service or barista duties enhances your ability to excel in this role Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is advantageous Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are key to delivering outstanding customer experiences Embark on your morning shift with us and be part of a team that values energy, dedication, and a passion for serving great coffee and snacks.
