As a Barista, you'll help with daily café operations, prepare high-quality beverages with consistency and care, and create a welcoming environment for every customer. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced specialty coffee shop where attention to detail, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential. Responsibilities Prepare specialty espresso drinks, matcha beverages, teas, and other menu items with consistency and precision. Deliver warm, friendly customer service while creating a welcoming experience for every guest. Follow REN Coffee's beverage recipes, presentation standards, and quality expectations. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Help complete daily inventory counts of milk, syrups, matcha, coffee, food items, cups, lids, and other café supplies, reporting low-stock items promptly. Restock stations throughout the day to maintain an efficient workflow. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, including equipment, workstations, storage areas, and customer spaces. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Maintain drink quality and speed of service during busy periods. Operate the POS system accurately and process customer transactions. Handle customer questions or concerns professionally and communicate issues to management when needed. Communicate with management regarding inventory, maintenance needs, and daily operations. Support other team members wherever needed to provide an exceptional customer experience. Qualifications Specialty coffee or barista experience preferred. Knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, matcha preparation, and beverage quality is a plus. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude. Experience using POS systems; Square experience is a plus. Basic math skills and confidence handling customer transactions. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Reliable, punctual, and able to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
