You'll craft delicious coffee beverages, serve refreshing gelato and other treats, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, non-alcoholic beverages, and gelato with precision and flair. Operate POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, internal and external areas in accordance with food safety standards. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give accurate change while ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Assist in food preparation tasks including food handling, beverage assembly, and basic food safety practices. Support the rest of the team during busy periods by managing time effectively to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience as a barista or gelato server is preferred; café experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Proficiency with POS systems for sales processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and enthusiastically. Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Food industry experience including food preparation, drink service, and retail sales transactions is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours effectively.
