Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, snacks, or baked goods while adhering to food safety standards. Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Maintain cleanliness of the café environment, including cleaning equipment, counters, and dining areas in compliance with food handling regulations. Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using basic math skills for transactions and change. Support team members during busy periods by assisting with serving, cashiering, or food prep as needed. Qualifications Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or cleaning equipment.
