Ruya Café is a Mediterranean-inspired coffee and wine bar in the heart of St. Pete, a dreamy, soulful space where community, creativity, and connection come together over espresso, wine and spritzes. We're looking for a Barista to join our growing team, someone who thrives in both the art of beverages and the rhythm of hospitality.

Lead Baristas/Manager Responsibilities Responsibilities:

At least 2 years of Barista experience at a specialty coffee shop is required as well as bar experience in handling beer and wine. Lead daily café operations with a focus on quality, consistency, and guest experience. Prepare espresso drinks, specialty lattes, cold brews, and other café beverages to Ruya's standards. Cover shifts when needed to ensure smooth operations. Open and close the café as needed, following all opening and closing procedures. Support training of new team members and uphold brand standards. Ensure all health, safety, and cleanliness protocols are met. Assist with menu updates, seasonal drink rollouts, and special events as needed. Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures Skills Previous barista experience or coffee and bar experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with Square POS systems is a plus. Must be at least 18 years of age per Florida Liqour Laws - Beer and Wine is also served on premises Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with customers. Knowledge of food safety regulations and food preparation techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Experience in the food industry or food service environment is beneficial. Follow emergency protocols and assist with guest safety as needed. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
