Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
Provides customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, while maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Contributes to the unit's success by providing customer service to customers.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
On-the-job training provided
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience as a barista in a fast-food establishment ServSafe certified
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Follows university and store operating policies and procedures 2. Provides quality beverages and food products according to standard recipes or customized by request 3. Engages with customers and responds to customer needs by delivering legendary customer service 4. Anticipates customer and store needs by evaluating environment and customers cues 5. Communicates information to manager 6. Assists with new employee training 7. Follows FIFO methods, health, safety and sanitation guidelines 8. Maintains a clean and organized workspace
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Able to learn quickly and understand and execute oral and written instructions and requests clarification when needed Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings and/or nights Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission the University and department Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

$14.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 per week
