We are looking for energetic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Baristas/FOH staff. In this role, you will be a key part of creating welcoming spaces that reflect our commitment to sustainability and community. Job Overview Successful baristas at Salt Fork Hospitality are personable, enthusiastic about food and beverage, and enjoy serving others. In this role, your primary goal will be to provide a memorable and engaging customer experience while preparing and serving high-quality food and beverages. You'll be expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a cheerful, professional demeanor, contributing to strong customer loyalty and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement:
Greet all customers cheerfully, create a welcoming atmosphere, and build rapport with new and regular patrons.
Food & Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (e.g., specialty coffee, teas) and assist with food items like sandwiches, baked goods, and pastries.
Order Accuracy:
Accurately take orders and accommodate customer preferences. Provide menu assistance to ensure efficient service and flow.
Upselling:
Make product recommendations and upsell additional items to enhance the customer's experience.
Payment Handling:
Process payments accurately and manage cash and point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently.
Packaging & Presentation:
Package orders for dine-in or take-out and ensure products meet quality standards.
Inventory & Equipment Management:
Track stock levels, restock displays, and assist with inventory management. Monitor equipment functionality and promptly report issues.
Cleanliness & Organization:
Maintain a clean environment in preparation, serving, and dining areas. Regularly clean tables, sweep floors, and follow all health and safety guidelines.
Opening & Closing Duties:
Organize the walk-in freezer, clean espresso machines, sweep/mop floors, stock fridges, and complete daily checklists.
Outdoor Upkeep:
Maintain the outdoor areas by pulling weeds, watering plants, and picking up trash in the parking lot.
Team Collaboration:
Work with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
Customer Feedback:
Gather feedback on new products and menu items to help improve service and offerings.
Qualifications Experience:
1-2 years of experience as a barista or in a customer-facing role in food and beverage service.
Customer-Focused:
Friendly, engaging, and committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Self-Motivated:
Able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate reliability.
Team Player:
Collaborative and always willing to help colleagues when needed.
Product Knowledge:
Familiarity with coffee brewing, tea preparation, and food service preferred.
Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills, with a positive and professional attitude. Attention to

Organized and precise in handling orders, payments, and cleaning tasks.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Prior Training:
Barista or food service training is a plus.
