Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently. Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and answer questions about menu items to enhance their experience. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling and basic math skills are applied. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation surfaces, tables, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards. Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting overall food safety and food handling protocols. Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee experience is highly preferred; enthusiasm for learning about coffee is a plus. Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
