Coffee Runner SYRP Coffee Bar Lombard, IL Job Details Part-time | Seasonal | Full-time | Contract $15•$18 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Paid training Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Food handling Teamwork Attention to detail POS systems Food Handler Certification Full Job Description About Us SYRP Coffee Bar is a new specialty coffee bar opening Fall 2026 in Lombard, Illinois, located in the building lobby and serving both walk-in customers and the restaurant upstairs. We believe every cup should feel like it was made just for you — and that starts with getting it to the right place, warm and on time. Beyond our daily hours, we also host private and community events after close. We're looking for a dependable Coffee Runner to keep drinks moving smoothly between our bar and the restaurant above. Responsibilities Carry completed drink orders from the downstairs coffee bar up to the restaurant, quickly and carefully Confirm orders are correct and complete before each trip Communicate clearly with baristas and restaurant staff to keep orders on time Handle drinks and carriers with care to prevent spills or mix-ups Assist behind the counter during slower periods as needed Keep common areas and drink-carrying equipment clean and organized Help with setup, service, or breakdown for after-hours private/community events as needed Qualifications No coffee experience required — training provided on all bar-related tasks Reliable and punctual, comfortable moving quickly and repeatedly between floors Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to learn quickly and build relationships with the coffee bar and restaurant teams alike Team-oriented mindset, works well with both coffee bar and restaurant staff Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends Morning/midday availability required, including weekends Food handler certification required (or willingness to obtain before start date) Schedule This location operates 7 days a week; weekend availability is required Occasional evening shifts available for after-hours events, for those interested in additional hours Compensation Hourly wage + tips (tip pool) Straightforward role with clear responsibilities Uniform provided at no cost to you Room to cross-train into barista responsibilities down the line, if interested
