Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers as we roll out this new offering in our restaurant. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. Your role will be essential in ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a great cup of coffee. The available shifts for this position are part time Monday through Friday from 6AM to 11AM, and Saturday-Sunday from 7AM to 11AM. Total hours expected are anywhere from 10-16 hours per week. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, breakfast items, and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices during preparation and service. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while effectively managing time during busy periods. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and sales transactions. Requirements Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques within the food industry. Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere while also being self-motivated.
