As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, organized workspace will contribute to the overall success of our café. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately, utilizing basic math skills for cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces. Follow food handling safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and notifying management when reordering is necessary. Requirements Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to help customers effectively. Basic math skills for cash register operation and retail math calculations. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to handle food safely according to health regulations. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
