Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team of all women as a Barista and Baker, where your passion for coffee, baked goods, and exceptional customer service will shine! In this dynamic role, you will craft delicious beverages, prepare fresh baked items, and deliver an inviting experience to every guest. Barista shifts are 7 am- 12pm and 12pm- 5 pm. Baker shift are early morning 4-5 am start to 11 pm, also looking at starting an overnight baking crew. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while being part of a lively café environment. Duties Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks using professional equipment like square POS systems. Bake and assemble fresh baked goods daily, ensuring quality and presentation meet high standards. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations. Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems; handle cash, credit card payments, and process cash transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment, adhering to strict food safety and food handling standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness. Skills Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service. Previous food industry or café experience with familiarity in food handling and food safety protocols. Skilled in retail sales transactions with proficiency in POS systems such as Square POS. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Strong math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and basic math tasks related to inventory and sales. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food preparation techniques for baked goods; experience baking is a plus.
