Barista Shift Leader

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Barista Shift Leader to join our vibrant café team! In this dynamic role, you will lead daily operations during your shift, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient food and beverage preparation, and smooth team coordination. Responsibilities Supervise and support baristas during your shift, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, engaging with guests warmly and professionally. Oversee food safety and food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and cleanliness standards. Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations accurately during transactions. Assist in training new team members on coffee preparation, food service, POS operation, and customer interaction techniques. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; communicate needs to management proactively. Maintain a clean, organized café environment by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards. Requirements Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and food service operations. Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail setting preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy shifts. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Knowledge of food safety practices, food preparation standards, and proper handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations for sales transactions and retail math accuracy.
