Operate POS system efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, dining spaces, and retail displays. Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling, & credit card processing. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist in food preparation, supporting overall food service operations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality standards. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of stock shortages or maintenance needs. Foster a friendly environment by engaging with customers positively and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles within cafés or retail environments is great, but we can train you. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport quickly. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods efficiently. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation practices in the food industry. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining independence when needed. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
