Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a coffee shop/ice cream shop. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, ice cream, and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and ice cream providing exceptional service, and maintaining the shop's standards of cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Create Ice cream per order and customer's wishes Operate theSquare POS systems efficiently for order processing and payment transactions. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop area, including food preparation stations and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions accurately. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring timely service during busy periods. Create social media posts/stories throughout the week through Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook Experience Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity Square POS systems is a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous.
