Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing delicious beverages in a fast-paced coffee shop environment. If you have a passion for coffee, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a dynamic atmosphere, we would love to hear from you.Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and process payments using the POS system
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including the serving area, equipment, and seating area
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper hygiene standards during food preparation
- Assist with food preparation, such as assembling sandwiches or pastries
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or complaints
- Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and brewing methods
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally At our coffee shop, we value teamwork, creativity, and a positive work environment.
