Overview Made in KC in Lenexa is seeking enthusiastic Part-Time Barista and Bartenders to join our vibrant café and retail environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to serve high-quality coffee and beverages while engaging with our community. Ideal candidates will have a passion for excellent customer service, food safety, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, friendly setting. Prior experience in coffee, food service, or retail is preferred but not required; we value team players eager to learn and grow with us.

Shifts:

Evenings from 2:30-9:30 and weekends a must!! Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, cocktails, and other specialty drinks with precision and care Operate using our Square POS system Manage customer orders efficiently, ensuring timely service during busy hours Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food preparation and serving areas Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities Assist customers with product selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations about our café & bar offerings Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations Uphold food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by providing excellent customer service and engaging with guests Skills Barista experience is a must, bartending experience is nice to have, but we will train on that aspect of the job Previous experience with POS systems is highly desirable Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours Proven sales ability with a focus on upselling beverages and retail items Excellent customer service skills to create a positive experience for all guests Familiarity with food safety, food preparation, and serving standards is a plus Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing Knowledge of the food industry standards related to food safety, handling, and preparation Ability to work effectively in a café or retail environment requiring multitasking and quick thinking Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members Join us at Made in KC in Lenexa for an engaging part-time role that combines your passion for coffee, community engagement, and excellent service.
