OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
Deliver authentic Italian espresso craft and exceptional daytime guest experiences at Daniella's Dolce. Mastery of automated espresso extraction, milk texturing, and custom beverage assembly. Showcase authentic Italian baked delicacies, curate pastry displays, and provide warm hospitality. Pristine display merchandising of morning pastries and custom cakes.
OPERATIONAL DUTIES & PROCEDURES
Turn on Nespresso commercial equipment and calibrate grind and temperature settings. Brew morning coffees (minimum 2 fresh pots prior to 7:00 AM opening) using Atomic Coffee beans. Prepare hot, iced, and specialty Italian espresso drinks, and teas. Maintain spotless beverage workstations.
Daily opening case merchandising:
fill pastry cases, stock cake case, and display freshly baked goods. Verify refrigeration temperatures (< 40°F per
MA 105 CMR 500
standards) and log cooler metrics. Operate Toast POS system efficiently for quick-service ordering, card transactions, and cash handling. Package delicate pastries, slice specialty cakes, and assemble custom pastry boxes with care.
QUALITY, SANITATION & COMPLIANCE
Adhere to strict Italian recipe specifications, foam consistency standards, and beverage par levels. Monitor espresso extraction times and notify shift lead when Atomic or Nespresso stock reaches par. Maintain ServSafe food safety protocols, FIFO rotation of pastries, and ingredient allergen labeling. Perform daily case sanitization, glass cleaning, and evening bakery waste logging and cooler checks.
SHIFT PROTOCOLS & CASH HANDLING
Opening Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM): Machine warm-up, coffee brewing, and opening readiness inspection. Case fill-up and lighting display setup. Mid/Closing (1:30 PM - 8:00 PM): Clean stations, restock for the next day and evening espresso teardown, facility lockdown.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
1+ year specialty coffee/barista experience preferred; passion for craft espresso and latte art. Retail food service, or counter hospitality experience; friendly customer service presence. Punctual, reliable for 6:00 AM opening shifts, adaptable team player. Strong attention to visual presentation. ServSafe certification and comfortable with Toast POS is a plus.

From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
