Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Barista Cashier/Bagel Prepper, where you'll be the heart of our bustling café! This energetic role combines the art of crafting delicious beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and preparing fresh bagels to delight our guests. You'll be the friendly face that creates a welcoming atmosphere, handles retail transactions with precision, and ensures every order meets our high standards for quality and food safety. We are looking for a candidate to work our afternoon and evening shifts. Typical afternoon shift is 12:00pm-6:30pm Typical night shift is 3:00pm -11:00pm Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and dining spaces. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for cash handling and processing transactions efficiently. Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring that all items meet quality standards Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations within the café. Qualifications Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Basic knowledge of retail math for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in the café setting.
