Overview Join our team at Tony Pho in East Longmeadow, MA, as a Waitstaff and/or Barista and become the heart of a lively, customer-focused environment! We are looking for full-time and part-time waitstaff and baristas, ideally someone who can fulfill both roles. In this role, you will craft delicious drinks like coffee/tea/matcha, serve food with enthusiasm, and provide exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while working in a dynamic setting that values teamwork and positivity. Duties Take customer orders accurately using Toast POS systems, process cash and card transactions efficiently, and handle retail sales transactions with precision. Serve food items promptly and professionally, maintaining food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and beverage stations through regular cleaning routines to ensure a welcoming environment. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables or customers seamlessly while maintaining attention to detail. Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and supporting overall café operations.

Barista:

Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffee, matcha, and teas, ensuring high quality and presentation. Experience Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS enhances efficiency in processing transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Basic math skills for ingredient measurements, cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience in beverage preparation, especially coffee-making or drink service, is a plus. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume periods. Knowledge of Vietnamese is preferred, but not required. Being certified in food management is preferred, but not required. Applicants who are interested in staying longer-term will be prioritized.
