As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service while crafting high-quality beverages and providing a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages, teas, and other menu items while adhering to food safety standards. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on their preferences. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Uphold café standards for quality control in food handling and beverage preparation. Qualifications Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment is a plus. Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems; basic understanding of retail math is beneficial. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help teammates as well as customers. Must adhere to food safety guidelines and practices.
