Job Overview Join us on a weekends and some weekday shifts at our beautiful cafe and bean-to-bar chocolate factory in the center of charming Williamsburg. Barista and general helper in front and back of house. Wage plus tips. Duties Assist in chocolate making and coffee/chocolate beverage prep. Make up delicious seasonal drink recipes for our menu. Learn about high-end chocolate and educate customers about it Maintain food safety standards and ensure proper sanitization practices. Package chocolate. Assist with purchasing and errands as needed (bank, post office, etc, within walking distance). Guide customers through our offerings, take orders, work the POS system, make change, and fulfill orders by making a variety of chocolate and coffee drinks and serving baked goods. Help with opening and closing duties, including reconciling the register, cleaning, dishwashing, restocking retail items. Social media and some administrative tasks including marketing. Help grow new business!

Skills:

Experience in the food industry or food service, preferably as a barista Ability to work well within a team environment and provide help where needed Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food handling procedures Knowledge of food safety guidelines and practices Excellent people skills, friendly, outgoing, positive, welcoming If you are passionate about chocolate and coffee, are an outgoing person, enjoy working with a team but also can take initiative and work independently, and are willing to work hard, please reach out. Must be 18+ (we serve alcohol) and available to work weekends with additional hours added as desired/available.
